DON'T GET CAUGHT

It starts of with a simple post. An advert placed in your favorite magazine, your favorite website, sent to you from your friend. An advert looking like this:

SPECIAL REPORT: Elon Musk’s Program Is Making South Africans Rich

Just move on – Elon Musk is not interested in you, and Tesler is about to take your money.

If you DID NOT move on, you will go through a questionare, see lot’s of promising posts and even see reviews claiming to be from Trust Pilot. Note, there are no links to Trust Pilot to verify the information on Elon Musk’s special report… You might or might not sign up.

I’VE SIGNED UP! What now??

You are okay. You have not been called (yet) and you have not deposited money (yet.)

Soon you will receive a call from a company such as Lyon Assets. The person will refer to themself as a broker for the company. Advise: DO NOT ENGAGE! Hang up and block them. If you do engage, you will be taken through a rather educating experience by setting up your online wallet with BinanceThe latter seems to be a valid and trusted wallet.

Once your wallet is set, you will link your bank account to your wallet and Lyon Assets will try to convince you to deposit as much funds as possible into your wallet. Convince equals statements such as: “You will never see these things happening in the market ever again! Markets are unstable and therefor we are seeing huge returns on investments!” Blah blah blah

Next, your broker will guide you to transfer funds from your Binance wallet (or whatever other wallet they made you set up) to their online trading platform. At this very moment, your money is lost, you just don’t know it yet. From here onwards you will be lead to invest more and more money. You will make (so it seems) insane profits!! Lyon Assets will let you withdraw funds to give you “peace of mind” that they are not running a scam. You also get those freebees called bonus payout and you will be added to trading groups and day by day your profits will increase. Until…

THE PAYOUT... What payout??
At this stage you will be familiar with the candle stick trading platform and feel like a pro yourself. You will be able to see the insane profits made from all your "trades." Below are screenshots directly taken from Lyon Assets

You are all excited to withdraw all that money you invested plus the profits you made!! BUT
YOU NEED TO PAY TAX IN IRELAND (or whatever country your broker choose to tell you) Most likely you will request the tax certificate and ask Lyon Assets if you can pay tax from your profits. They will tell you that they will check with their finance department, only to come back with excuse apon excuse. They are not willing to put their own money on the table to "help you out" as such practise is against the law. (It is not, your broker is entitled to borrow you money)

Someone else will get in contact with you and tell you further stories about how you have to pay taxes before you can withdraw your money. Quickly they assist you with setting up a COLD WALLET, such as Atomic Wallet and deposit the funds into your cold wallet as a USDT currency. Once you are ready to pay the "taxes," you can withdraw the funds from your cold wallet. (So they claim)

At this stage you you will have Atomic Wallet installed on your workstation and am able to see the funds. It all still seems pretty convincing. Once you get in contact with Atomic's support team (they are extemely helpful) they will tell you your USDT is fake.

Atomic is very kind to share the link where they check your currency value. Simply go to  this page: Etherscan and paste your blockchain address in the search box. The value of your USDT (or any other crypto) will be displayed. In Lyon Asset's case, you will see something similar to the below image. If you are still not convinced that Lyon Assets are running a scam, pay them the taxes and give us feedback on this website that you have received actual payout. Terms and Conditions apply.
